Energy Partners, Ltd. (Energy Partners) is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company, focusing on the shallow to moderate depth waters of the Gulf of Mexico Shelf. At December 31, 2005, the Company had interests in 38 producing fields and five fields under development all of which are located in the Gulf of Mexico Shelf and the Gulf Coast onshore regions (the Gulf of Mexico Region). These fields fall into four focus areas: Eastern, Central, Western offshore and Gulf Coast onshore areas. As of December 31, 2005, Energy Partners had estimated proved reserves of approximately 166.9 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas and 31.5 million barrels (Mmbbls) of oil, or an aggregate of approximately 59.3 million barrels of fuel oil equivalent (Mmboe).
